How much do you make catching wild hogs

Curent prices for trapped wild hogs is?? Has anybody been selling hogs and how much are they paying for them nowdays, I been thinking bout setting up the cow pens again if they are paying enuff to make money from them.

I also have been wondering how hard is it for a ranch to become a certifed or whatever it takes to sell hogs legally to game preserves and other legit buyers??? I know if one becomes certifed by Texas you can not sell sows or shoats to a preserve but can you sell to a hog processor who is killing them or what is the deal? There has to be a way to cut out the middleman and go direct but how much that takes and hassle and liab i am not sure on.

Last thing i need is to sell a hog to somebody and they get sick and suelol Where do all of these hogs that get bought go to anyways now days?? I thought after the swine flu scare and the economy crash they kinda quit paying enuff money to trap and haul them in.

I know last 24 trailer load we hauled in was not protfitable at 13 cents a pound boar. I have heard rumors of 50 cents again for boars but not sure if it is true. I would like to find a buyer who could come in once a month and haul them off from my ranch and pay me at the scale.

Is anybody doing this on here?? Or 13 cents per pound? I think it is closer to cents per pound around here on and up. The stuff under s won't bring much. Meyers died and does not buy anymore they were in refugio close to us like 15 minutes. I actually just opened up my own Hog Buying Station in Harwood, Texas.

I am trying to get the word out to as many people as possible. We are paying 15 cents a pound for pounds and 30 cents a pound for anything over pounds. It is David's Wild Hogs We buy hogs and have a the permits to turn hogs loose on our ranch.
